During my researching today I found a few things that I thought I would share with my infertile friends.
First off is the website listed in the photo.
Second is this site: http://www.loves-journey.com/infertility-awareness-symbol
And last is the one with the beads. http://www.loves-journey.com/fertility-beads which of course is just a subset of the second one and probably also quite closely related to the first as well.
Just some neat things to spread the word. Wearables. I have a bracelet of which, since January, my spouse and I have been adding beads from all over to. Now that I know there is some representation for what I've gone through I'll be sure to add a few more.
By no means is this a plug for any of these weblinks. I know I can find the beads for way less online or even in the local bead store I go to here. But I just thought it would be nice to share the symbolism behind the beads with all of you.
I shared the weblinks with my spouse and he was happy to see that there was meaning behind particular beads, and said he was more likely to get me those because of what we have gone through together. Hopefully soon I'll be adding one for a frozen embryo transfer through the donor egg program. Fingers crossed that it will happen early next year if not sooner.
Donor egg program? does this mean you are getting back on the coaster, lol
ReplyDeleteI think I never left it. The laproscopy I had in June and the never ending cycle I'm in now should come to a hault a few days after I'm done with the last dose of Provera. We are still going to try for a few more cycles using Letrozole and IUI before we do the frozen donor egg consult later this year. Hoping that I still have a few good quality eggs left but its doubtful. I'm a realist so I'm almost positive its going to end in the donor egg program for us.
ReplyDeleteI'd read about the beads on Stirrup Queens (I think). I like the idea, although I've never seen anyone else wearing them.
ReplyDeleteI have several pounds of jewelry between the beads for my bracelet, the jewels in my special collection and the ones I use to create wearable splendor to sell. Finding beads and creating a list of ones I like is a simple way for my spouse to pick from the list for me. He has no imagination and I tried that route, "I'm sure you can think up something on your own", it failed. I checked out Stirrup Queens and couldn't find it there. Odd but it happens.
DeleteThose are really pretty. Such a sweet idea.
ReplyDeleteI think most of us could fill a necklace and not just a bracelet!
