Space Bridge

Early this morning I had a rather odd dream.  Okay I always have some odd dreams.  I was traveling back to the planet Earth via a space bridge.

The photo to the left is the closest I could find to the one in my dream without actually using my pathetic drawing ability to make an illustration myself.  The difference being that the bridge was over the planet Earth, it looked more like the Brooklyn bridge and it was all twisted and bent in on itself with pillars for docking hanging below.

In this dream I was an middle aged adult, born to Terrans that escaped Earth just before the Urban Wars began in 2012 due to the Mayan Apocalypse  and now was headed back to Earth from Mars for a bit of vacation.  Since I was born in NY I decided to go visit that place and get some pizza that they were so well known for, but I ran into a problem.

Of course there are problems trying to order pizza in a dream.  Nothing can ever be simple can it?  I decided to order the pie from the docking bay on the space bridge but when I called the parlor they wanted an order of a minimum of 70 pies.  How was I, a lonely female, going to ingest 70 pizzas?

"Look", I said, "I'm willing to pay extra if you just let me buy one pizza."

The order taker said, "Okay but that will be 1 million Sheqel."

I said, "Forget it".

I don't know about you but that is way too much to pay for one pie.  That is where I woke up.

Out Shopping

Really short blog post today.

I went shopping with my bestie S.  I couldn't find a darn thing that I wanted to buy for my spouse with his money from my mom.  The gun shop that I went to that I thought would have the items from his reloading list, yes he gave me a list, actually aren't carrying bullet casings, primers and powder now.

So now its off to chase another wild goose.

I did have fun shopping, enjoyed some really good pizza, and came up with more gift ideas for my husband to gift to me.  He hasn't finished shopping for me yet and needs some really good hints.  I guess I might have to make him a list.  I don't want much and I did set a $100 gift purchase limit.  One big gift or small ones but it can't exceed that number because as we all know IVF isn't cheap.

Thanks to bestie S, I'm thinking that a bottle of perfume might make me happy this year.  I purchased a bottle of Tresor for myself from my husband for Christmas 2009 while he was deployed to Iraq.  I don't use it often as there are so many folks about me that seem to be allergic to scents that I usually forgo wearing any cologne of any sort.  Why should I care about them?  I've no clue since most don't care about my allergies, feelings and needs.  Perfume and cosmetics cheer me up.  I guess its a girl thing.

I'm sure J can get just what I want at our Exchange here on the military installation.  Sometimes being in the Army does have its perks when we can get a few items for less than the other stores on the economy which carry the same items, though not always and not often but it seems that perfume is one of the things we can get for less.

Fun FRG Meeting

Since my brain is basically mush this morning this is going to be a short posting.  If it seems a bit choppy I can only say its due to fatigue.

Last night was the first FRG meeting we've had since our soldiers got home in July.  I found out that our current FRG leader will be leaving us sooner than I previously thought.  KG, I'm going to miss you.  EC welcome to our brigade.

FRG meetings are always important and I'd love to see that many soldiers and their spouses come to every meeting. Last night's meeting provided us with the upcoming training dates.  I can now start making informative decisions as to when we can do travel, fertility, and when I'll be needing extra help here.

The incentive to attend last night's meeting was that the soldiers wouldn't have to show up to work until 0900 hrs the next day, plus they got free soda and pizza.  Bowling was optional and at your own cost but hey we still had a good turn out on the lanes.  I alas did not bowl due to the restrictions on me right now with the "pregnancy" for two weeks thing.  My spouse did bowl.  He felt a tad awkward bowling with the guys that were higher ranking than he but he still gave his best try.
