Browsing Donor Egg Profiles

Today we got the available small set donor egg profiles to peruse.  We found one we really like but she is 30.  Not too keen on the 30 thing.  Another is younger but there is a family history of cancer, Alzheimers, and Leukemia.  Then it worse with another having two genetic issues that she is a carrier for that could cause some major issues.  It looks as though the 30 year old will be our best bet.

The 22nd is our phone consult.  I'll know more by then.  Just wishing I could find my notes from May where I took down the information on the costs of my options too.  Not knowing is making it difficult to choose.

    1. Hoping that the small set of eggs option will work for us and help us complete our family.

  2. Nothing wrong with 30 year old eggs if they are good 30 year old eggs :) I'm glad to hear you are getting back into the saddle again. Best of luck!!!!

    1. Well it will still be some time before the FET will be complete with the Army training schedule coming up. But we did want to make an informed decision this month since you and I both know that cycling can take a while!

  6. Thinking of you! It's a big decision for sure.

FWIW, I was 30 for my final egg donation and we retrieved 52 eggs, 46 of which fertilized. Just so you know! :-)

  7. Only two donor profiles? That doesn't seem like enough to go through. And WTH with the one having so much wrong with her genes? :(
